Gregory Barasia is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Cedar Cliff Capital. Prior to launching the fund, he held investment roles at global institutions including Mubadala Investment Company, Emirates Investment Authority and New Vernon Capital. Over the course of his career, he has led the development and execution of macroeconomic investment strategies across a broad range of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, commodities and currencies in both developed and emerging markets. He brings deep expertise in economic forecasting, portfolio construction and multi-asset allocation, with a focus on generating non-correlated returns through dynamic, data-driven investment processes.
Barasia holds an MBA from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree from New York University, which he completed in three years. He is a CFA and CAIA Charterholder and a member of American Mensa. His professional background reflects a combination of institutional discipline, global perspective and a strong quantitative foundation applied to macroeconomic investing.
